SodaStream Anyone?

I have been thinking of buying a SodaStream for at least six months now but at nearly a hundred bucks it is just too expensive for me to buy as an impulse purchase.

Since I don't know anyone in person that has one I thought I would post here instead hoping I would get some real world feedback.

So if you own a SodaStream and happen to come across this thread please consider leaving me some feedback about your experiences with it.

It has been a while since I found anything that I thought would be a good fit for this category but this is certainly it. If you live here in the United States you know that Soccer is just not real big here. As Americans it is hard for us to watch any sport that the whole game might end with a score of 1 to 0.

Even Hockey has more scoring than Soccer, and the problem with Hockey is that there is just entirely too much skating around between the fights. Anyway these guys have figured out how to liven things up, everyone gets a Taser and appears free to use them. Now THIS is Soccer that I would watch. Heck I would even buy a ticket if it was local. although I can't imagine I could convince my wife to go along.

Stealth Bastard

Stealth games are awesome. Hiding from The Man, skulking in shadows, the thrill of the unseen infiltration. But why do they have to be so... slow?

Introducing Stealth Bastard: stealth, with a great big kick up the arse. A fast-paced, frenetic, one-step-away-from-chunky-death melange of sneaking, platforming, hacking and cursing. A whole lot of fun. It's like Metal Gear Solid and Super Meat Boy had a baby out of wedlock. Semi-literally.

Jump, sneak, and be horribly dismembered through 28 levels hand-crafted by our crack team of in-house design geniuses, some of the same folk behind the critically-acclaimed Fluidity/Hydroventure, and the retro-styled PSN platformer Explodemon!.

And once you're done with those? Fear not - Stealth Bastard includes a FULL in-game level editor - the same we used to create the bundled levels - and even allows you to share, play and rate the community's creations from across the world.

And if you thought that was cool, we've not even got to the best bit yet: Stealth Bastard is free. Not 'freemium'. Completely free.

Endless fun. Zero cost. What are you waiting for?

Nitronic Rush

Nitronic Rush is an experimental survival driving game developed by students at DigiPen Institute of Technology. Use the car’s many abilities (including boost, wings, and jump) to avoid obstacles that the city throws at you. Prove your abilities and impress the announcer by performing tricks. In many ways the game is a tribute to racing games of the 1990′s, but with fresh graphics and gameplay.

The entire game (including the graphics, physics, and architecture) was developed from the ground up using C++ for the PC (Windows XP, Vista, and 7) platform. It was not created as a mod or using any pre-made engines such as Unity or Unreal.

(One more thing not included in the above Game Description is this game is free!)

I am hoping "This is... This is NOT", something that has been bouncing around in my head for a while now will become a regular MHW forums humor staple, much like the jokes thread was on the old forums. Since it was Jon (former staff member), who was the inspiration, and perhaps the largest contributor to the original jokes thread is no longer with us I thought to honor his memory I would give a shot myself at establishing a new MHW forums humor tradition.

In the past when I have periodically updated the site design / software / layout I have always solicited feedback on the changes, and spent months tweaking things behind the scenes based on reader feedback.

Unfortunately this time is different as unlike in the past when there was as many as five staff members not counting myself I am now pretty much a solo act and running things all by myself.

What this means is please limit your feedback to items that directly relate to anything you find that is broken, missing, or just not working the way it should, if you prefer you can email me, jim(at)monster-hardware.com.
