There are two forms of modding in the computer world today; aesthetically appealing, and functional. While I do not consider myself an artist by any means, I think that a mod that is clean, functional, and has a generally sharp look to it is a success. In this article I will show you the process I went through to convert a $7 250w ATX power supply into an invaluable testing unit that comes in hand for both modding and hardware review.

Thanks for the compliments; it is the first mod article I have written in a while. Our average hits are at about 38,000 a day this month...yesterday (the day this review was posted) we took in 84,435 hits! That beat our highest this month by about 20,000 hits, and the mod article URL is shooting its way up our stats list of most accessed URLs for the month. Even better news; I have quite a few more mods that I am working on, which should garner some more nice days. We haven't even gotten the mod linked on [H] yet (might happen).

We got a nice full news post on [H] today :)

"Cool PSU Mod:
Here is a pretty handy PSU mod for those of you who can't buy a modular PSU. The premise behind this mod is to turn the mass of wires coming out of the PSU into clean, sleek and detachable cables."

So far the hits around the release date have been 85,000, 124,000, and 84,000. We'll see if there is another influx as a result of this linkage.

September 28th, the day the server started coughing out some emails (and we got posted on [H] as well as a handful of other sites) the hits jumped to 166,000! Just imagine if the servers were working and the [H] link coughed up at the same time as the others...

Let me know about the next mod you are coming out with and I'll try to get a banner ready and advertise.
